Mission Statement
Based on functional strength and
conditioning, our goal is to create, and foster a fit and healthy
community, while providing a safe and highly effective route to optimum
health, fitness, nutrition, performance and lifestyle.
Our approach is based on the principle of Mechanics , Consistency, then Intensity.
All
workouts will be adjusted (scaled) to the individuals needs an
abilities. Above all safety comes first without compromise. The goal of
crossfit is to improve your fitness for life; no one ever got in
shape overnight.
Mechanics:
Technique—your ability to move properly through our core movements. For
us, this means moving yourself and external objects in the most
efficient, effective, and safe manner possible.
Consistency:
has a two-part application: 1) That you are consistent in performing
the mechanics of the movement; and 2) That you are consistent in
CrossFit workouts. Both are necessary!
Intensity: is the independent variable most commonly associated with the rate of return on
favorable
adaptation. Huh? Simply put, this is based on you as an individual, all
egos must be checked at the door. We all want to "go hard", but go
smart instead. Working with a load that is favorable to your growth is
better than just going "all out" and killing yourself. We can help you
with that (the growth part).
Our Training template for members.
Level 1 - New to high intensity training and complex movements.
Level 2 - Competency
in complex movements and able to complete workouts as prescribed
movements. Some movements and reps will still be scaled at this level.
Level 3 -
Performance and competitive athlete -proficient in all aspects of the
sport, able to work with very intense workloads and volumes.
At Crossfit Shinobi we don't use machines, we make them.
